Easy Ways to Set Up Goals and Make Positive Life Changes.

They say it takes 30 days to make a habit. Whether it is a good or a bad habit, consistency is the key to creating new habits of doing things. So with the new year upon us many of us are setting goals for the new year and making new positive changes. Goal setting can be a  very big task if you have a lot of changes you want to make. A long list can be very daunting and overwhelming. So here is a list of ways to make goal setting easier and will help you succeed at doing them.

1.) When setting goals focus on the top five goals, ones that need your immediate attention and that are attainable. Do not put run a 26 mile marathon in three months, if you have never run before. This is an unattainable goal to meet especially in that time frame. You might instead say start running two days a week. Put in another goal to do a half marathon by the end of the year. This would be a more realistic goal and give you something to work toward.

2.) Map out a simple plan of action for each goal this way you have a blueprint of how to achieve them. So if you say lose weight, you might want to add lose weight and put down actions that will help you make this happen. Drink more water, reduce sugar by 50%, cut down on processed foods etc. This way you can start making these actions a reality and get on your way to achieving them.

3.) Write your goals down and place them in a place that you will see them daily. This will help to keep your goals in front of you and help you to work on them on a regular basis. Focusing on your goals daily will be a positive way to enforce them.

4.) Give your goals a realistic timeline so that you can accomplish them in a real time line and be successful. Make sure when you set the timeline you are focusing on a goal that is important and that you made the correct action plan for it.

5.) Set up rewards for your goals, example when I lose 10 pounds I will buy myself a new pair of jeans etc. This way you have a goal that is attainable, give yourself a good action plan and timeline goal followed by a good reward.

6. ) The final part of goal setting is to not be too hard on yourself. Bad habits do not happen overnight so changing them will not either. It take a good three to six months to really grasp positive life changes so give yourself some time and keep going. If you move backwards, adjust, make note of what you did wrong and get back up. Rome was not built in a day and it will take some time to change.

Happy goal setting!

Wake up With Michael Losier and Start Your 2012 Off with a Positive Bang!

Happy New year everyone! I am on a new and exciting path for 2012. This year I plan to make  2012 my year! I am making a huge effort to change the way I think and react to people and circumstances around me. We are all in control of our lives and how we choose to live it each and everyday. You can learn to live without doubt and fear. Self sabotage and fear are two of my worst enemies. So I am embracing this Law of Attraction with the help of Michael Losiers program.

I have read the book Law of Attraction by Michael Losier and have followed him on and off for the past two or so years. I believe that there is a lot of truth to the belief in positive thinking and the Law of Attraction. Personally, I have had a love/hate relationship with the Law of Attraction because I simply didn’t follow it the way that I should have. So I decided that this year 2012, I am going to make a real go at it and work hard to see what positive changes I can manifest into my life. I was listening Michael Losiers New Years Day recorded call and discovered his new five day Wake Up with Michael series. I was immediately interested and decided to check it out.

The Wake Up with Michael series is a new five day program that Michael Losier has started where you can wake up everyday and listen to a short video that goes over his top five tools for practicing the Law of Attraction. Everyday you get a FREE new tool in your email. I love this idea and have started already on day 1! You can listen to them over and over until you are able to master them. These are great tips and he also shares with you a lot of other great tools. I highly reccommend this site and his books to anyone who wants to try the Law of Attraction.

How to Make and Keep Real New Year’s Resolutions for 2012.

With the end of 2011 approaching people find themselves once again making new year resolutions. Experts have a few tips for making and keeping your goals for the new year in check.

Experts say that making realistic goals are key and not putting a certain timeline on huge goals is the best way to achieve them. Don’t have goals like lose 50 pounds in three months but instead to make healthy habit changes. Like drink more water or lose weight and feel better but not to put too much emphasis on high unattainable goals.

The second tip is to write your goals down in a place that you will see it on an everyday basis. This way you can keep your goals fresh and always a constant reminder to help keep you on track.

The third tip from experts is to enlist a support team to help you stay focused on your goals and to celebrate the small as well as the large accomplishments.

The last suggestion for new year resolutions from experts is to keep the list to only three or four goals not a huge list. This way you have a better chance of doing them and not putting too much pressure on yourself for high goals that are unattainable.

So here is to the new year and the new and improved you!

My Reflective Thoughts and Goodbye to 2011

Every year we find ourselves looking back on the past year and wondering where it went. Why does it seem that time goes by so fast and we still find that we have yet to complete or accomplish our past goals and New Year’s resolutions. With the new year once again starting within less than an hour. I find myself once again reflecting over my mimosa what will the new year bring? This past year has not been the best year for me and a lot of other people. Even though I have struggled a lot the last six months or so. I still find myself hopeful for better things to come and smile as I write this blog.

I am choosing to believe that this will be MY year and finally I will be able to shake off all of the past disappointments and start fresh once again. I have a few plans up my sleeve that I will be sharing on this blog. So as I write this blog and reflect I plan and dream for what is to come. 2011 was not a good year for me but I feel it was a year I needed to grow and learn. I learned even when you are at your lowest you will eventually be alright. That what doesn’t hurt you will make you stronger. Life is about the quality of people in your life not the quantity. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions that hurt but you know being true to yourself is more important than living a lie. Learning to live on less money and have fewer material things are actually good and that no one is keeping up with the Joneses anymore.

This past year I have found myself humbled by life and the economy and I appreciate what I have and who I have in my life more. I am blessed beyond belief with love and good people. I have two adorable cats that love me no matter what, I also have amazing friends and family. Life can be a challenge but that is what makes it worth living and I am so looking forward to an amazing and blessed 2012!

May your 2012 be what your hopes and dreams are made of and may you find your true happiness in life for the new year and beyond. So long 2011 and bring on 2012!!
